Refund Radar
Privacy Policy
Refund Radar is a local-first return and refund tracker. It does not require an account and does not include analytics, advertising, cloud OCR, or a remote application server.
Data handled by the app
Refund Radar lets you enter return details such as a merchant, item, amount, currency, purchase date, return deadline, sent-back date, refund check date, and an optional tracking or return reference. You may also attach a receipt photo, order image, or PDF.
This information is stored in the app's private sandbox on your device. Refund Radar does not transmit this information to Jay Fan or a Refund Radar server.
Device permissions
- Camera: Optional. Used only when you choose to photograph return evidence.
- Photos: Optional. Used only when you choose an existing image.
- Notifications: Optional. Used for local return-deadline and refund-check reminders that you request through the app.
- Files: The system file picker is used only when you choose a PDF or image to attach.
If you deny any optional permission, the rest of the tracker remains available.
Sharing
When you choose to open attached evidence, Refund Radar may show the device's share sheet. The destination you select is outside Refund Radar and is governed by that destination's privacy practices.
Data retention and deletion
Records remain on your device until you delete an individual return, delete all app data from the Privacy & Help screen, or remove the app. Deleting a return also removes its app-managed attachment and scheduled reminders.
Children
Refund Radar is a general-audience shopping utility and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If the app's actual data practices change, this policy will be updated before that change is distributed.
